About
Journal of Prevention and Countering Education Fraud (JPCEF) is dedicated to advancing rigorous scholarship and informed debate on education fraud in all its forms. The journal provides an interdisciplinary forum at the intersection of higher education policy, law, digital transformation, quality assurance, and credential evaluation, examining how fraudulent practices undermine trust in qualifications, harm learners and institutions, and weaken the integrity of education systems at national and transnational levels. Through double-blind peer review and an international scholarly community, JPCEF promotes high standards of evidence, conceptual clarity, and methodological robustness, ensuring that contributions are both academically grounded and relevant to real-world prevention and enforcement needs. JPCEF publishes in English, Italian, and Russian, reflecting its commitment to cross-border dialogue and accessibility across diverse scholarly and policy communities.
The journal’s objectives are to develop and disseminate analytical and practical knowledge that strengthens institutional capacity to prevent, detect, and respond to education fraud. JPCEF prioritises research that clarifies emerging typologies and risk factors, evaluates regulatory and organisational responses, and proposes innovative tools and procedures – from secure digital credential infrastructures to data-informed and AI-supported approaches – while remaining attentive to ethical, legal, and human-rights implications. By publishing comparative studies, case-based analyses, and policy-relevant scholarship, JPCEF aims to foster constructive dialogue between researchers, public authorities, quality assurance bodies, and credential evaluators, contributing to more transparent, resilient, and trustworthy recognition and admission practices across border.
